I used to think Variety of food receipie, exercises & tons of information on health, will help me to be healthy.
These decisions were exhausting & taking me nowhere.
My So called healthy grocery shopping was done at all kind of places, to get one thing here and other some place else. I joined health club, thinking I will do all programs one by one. Subscribed to Health Magazines(full of advertisements)to get inspire. I felt so consumed with the options available. I was drawn to every next best healthy thing in infomercials. It was almost paralyzing, instead of being healthy, procrastination kept creeping in my healthy plans.
Results- Overweight, lack of energy, sleep deprived constantly
I started eliminating this clutter of decisions. After much contemplation, I realized I enjoy Yoga, Running & Hiking the most. Doing it 2 times a week/each my flexibility & strength improved. My 2 happy workout outfits, Black running shorts & legging with black tank top & my Brooks Shoes.
Then came Grocery, I came up with a list of simple & easy recipes, I use lot of Greens and fruits. No more quick Frozen meals & variety of experimental cooking. Save money, time and confusion.
I made a list of our 5 favorite Healthy & Simple recipes for Breakfast/lunch/dinner. Weekdays are quick and easy now. Less caffeine more green tea. Weekends involve some comfort food too.
I take my sleeping patterns very seriously, early to bed & productive mornings.
As Simplifying goes, Now I keep myself focused on these simple changes, avoid distractions & temptations. I’ve reached to a point where I look forward to workout, sleep better & do conscious Grocery.
Do you have any changes which helped you to be more healthy & happy ?
In hope of discovering myself more deeper and making you part of my Simplifying Journey.

I like the direction you are going. For some reason I have been eating the same meal for dinner all summer. I get a nice hard bread from the bakery. I mix I avacado, 1/2 of a minced shallot and Olive oil. I scoop the avacado mixture with pieces of the hard bread. I don’t know how long I will be doing this but I like it.
Thanks for reading. This looks very simple & yummy. I was very experimental with my cooking. More money more time. I’ve come to a point, where my menu is fixed for weekdays and weekends. Now even my 3.5 yr old know what to expect. No confusions, less time & more savings.
Shivi. Very Nice! I love the concept and thoughts.
